Action for a Better Community has an addiction treatment program called, New Directories (ND), which supports individuals impacted by alcohol and substance use. The program provides access to qualified health professionals who offer a range of treatment and counseling services, including chemical abuse evaluations, both group and individual therapy, trauma-informed care, family sessions, recovery management, relapse prevention, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), and support groups.
Believing that addiction is a family disease, ND’s staff collaborates with clients and their families at every stage of treatment and rehabilitation. The program ensures that services are tailored and coordinated to help individuals achieve and sustain a successful, long-term recovery. Additionally, ND partners with community resources to foster holistic well-being, improve access to care, and enhance personal self-sufficiency.
What Does ND Do?
- Offers DWI evaluations & treatment
- Assists with modified mental health
- Arranges for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT – for opiates and other substances)
- Offers evening & weekend programming
- Provides work readiness assessments
- Provides gender-oriented treatment groups
Participation & Eligibility:
- Any age
- Valid photo ID (driver’s license, NYS ID, benefits card, passport)
- Current insurance card/information
- Payroll verification for sliding fee and self payer
