About Baden Street Settlement | Counseling and Support Center

Baden Street Settlement’s Behavioral Health and Community Services offers high-quality professional support for adults with developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and those dealing with substance abuse issues.

The Counseling and Support Center provides services for individuals aged 18 and older to address substance abuse issues. The aim is to provide an effective chemical dependency treatment program tailored to the unique needs of inner-city residents, aligning with their cultural norms and psychological orientations. The treatment philosophy is grounded in the belief that addictive behavior stems from genetic factors (disease model) and specific personality traits that influence how individuals interact with the world.

Badan Street Settlement provides comprehensive, integrated services, including individual and group counseling, as well as case management.

Currently, the agency is in the planning stage for an integrated outpatient mental health clinic in collaboration with the NYS Office of Mental Health.
