UR Mental Health & Wellness Strong Recovery program is a hospital-based outpatient addiction treatment program in Rochester, New York. They offer traditional outpatient therapy (as group therapy, individual therapy, and peer support services) and outpatient medication-assisted treatment (MAT). These MAT programs provide access to methadone, buprenorphine (Suboxone, Subutex, Zubsolv), and naltrexone (Vivitrol) for opiate use disorder, and acamprosate (Campral) and disulfiram (Antabuse) for alcohol use disorder. Additional services include medication management, integrated mental health services for patients with co-occurring disorders, and family services/education.
UR Mental Health & Wellness Strong Recovery is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). CCBHCs are nonprofit organizations or units of a local government behavioral health authority. They must provide nine types of services, either directly or by contracting with partner organizations, with an emphasis on providing 24-hour crisis care, evidence-based practices, care coordination with local primary care and hospital partners, and integration with physical health care. CCBHCs are required to serve anyone who requests care for mental health or substance use, regardless of their ability to pay, place of residence, or age.
